Nitrofurantoin (NF) is a widely used antibiotic, used for treatment of cystitis caused by Escherichia coli (EC). Resistance to other antibiotics has led to increased interest in this agent. NF shows efficacy against most bacteria expected in urinary tract infections, and resistance is small [1]. …
