Julius Kraft-Kinz was born on December 13, 1925 in Innsbruck, Austria. Shortly after beginning medical school in 1944, he was drafted and served in the military until the end of the war, when he resumed his medical studies and received his M.D. in 1951 from the University of Innsbruck. After two years’ residency in pathology here, he went on to the Rhineland to work with his uncle, Rudolf Kraft, chief of surgery in Düren. After further training in surgery at the University Hospital in Munich, he took a position at the University Department of Surgery in Graz under Franz Spath in 1956. …Anzeige
