Sporadic renal angiomyolipoma is a benign neoplasia mostly found incidentally. It consists of fat cells, spindle smooth muscle-like cells and blood vessels [1]. Using imaging features including computed tomography (CT) texture analysis, the diagnosis is adequately made with imaging techniques only [2]. Histologic evaluation may sometimes be necessary, especially in cases of very low fat content. In approximately 20% of cases angiomyolipoma is associated with tuberous sclerosis complex, as documented by numerous case reports [3].
