Die sozial störende Harninkontinenz gehört neben der erektilen Dysfunktion zu den häufigsten Komplikationen nach radikaler Prostatektomie zur Behandlung des lokalisierten Prostatakarzinoms. Mit der Zunahme der onkologisch sinnvollen Prostatakarzinomvorsorgeuntersuchungen steigt die Anzahl der radikalen Prostatektomien und damit potenziell der sozialen Post-Prostatektomie-Inkontinenzen – auch wenn diese auch nur 2–4 % in „high volume“ Serien betragen. Trotz Einsatz moderner Operationstechniken wie der roboterassistierten Laparoskopie, einer nervenschonenden Präparation des neurovaskulären Bündels an der Prostatakapsel (sog. „nerve-sparing“) und Konzentration der Eingriffe an Kliniken mit grosser operativer Erfahrung sind der vollständige Erhalt von Kontinenz und Potenz nicht garantiert [1]. …
